Random Tuesday Thoughts - Socks and Homecomings

I'm linking up again this week with Stacy Uncorked, for Random Tuesday Thoughts.  I've got a lot of randomness so just dazzle me and read along.
----------------------------
Logan, the oldest son, has been one busy bee.  He's been running his arse off at Cross Country Meets.  Most recently he placed 3rd at one and 9th at another.  He also went to a different school's Homecoming with a girl who asked him.  Then he just came back from a trip at Springfield, IL with FCCLA (Family Career and Community Leaders of America) for an overnight leadership conference.

Shelby helping Logan get dressed

I have pictures of Logan and his date but they're on my phone and won't transfer.  His sister and step-dad helped him get dressed with the suspenders and bow tie.  He's officially an adult and still can't dress himself!

----------------------------
I asked Adam if he planned on going to Homecoming or Prom this year since he's a Senior too, and it would be his last time to attend.  This was his response:
"I spend eight hours a day, five days a week with those people.  Whey would I want to spend an evening with them?"
"If I wanted to listen to music and dance, I'd go in my room and turn on the radio.  I'm not paying money to dress up and dance."
Guess there's my answer to that!

Emma with her date
Emma with sister, Juliann

Emma attended her first Homecoming dance.  She had a date from the same school.  Said it was a blast.  I can't deal with the kids growing up so fast.  I just can't deal.
------------------------------
I went to Shopko the other day and went on a sock spree.  I actually wasn't out to buy any socks, but I couldn't pass up a good sale.  I purchased a total of 37 pair of socks for $16.  Score!

socks, socks everywhere
----------------------
I went back to the dr. the other day.  She says I'm doing better but upped my meds.  I also started counseling and will be going every two weeks.  I met with the guy for the first time and started bawling like a baby.  I'm sure he thought I was a fruitcake.  And he'd be right.

I'm no stranger to death, but the loss of my mother has really mindf**ked me.  I'm getting better.  Slowly.  With time.
-------------------------
Today is the 14th wedding anniversary for me and Jason.  In this day and age, that's saying something!  I love him a lot more now than I did in the beginning.

Later today he and I are staying in a romantic suite at Harpole's Heartland Lodge.  It's an out-of-the way place with beautiful decor and scenery.
------------------------
There you have it.  Told you I had a lot of randomness.
What's been up with you lately?

that was a great deal on the socks. I wish I had found a sale like that. My sister works in a doctors office and they compare socks every day since that is the only thing they can individualize.

Happy Anniversary!
I felt the same way about dances as Adam does...some call it anti-social but I like to call it anti-stupidity.
