Saving Kate's Flowers - Children's Book Review and Giveaway

I received book for review from Arbordale Publishing.  The opinions within this post are of my own and I was not influenced in any way.  Please do your own research before purchasing products or using services.  Your opinions and results may differ.

Fall is here and Kate is determined to save her flowers from the winter cold. Mom shows her how to scoop the flowers out of the ground, transplant them into pots, and give them water. Kate pots a couple flowers . . . and then some more…and a few more. With Mom distracted on the phone, Kate has filled the house with flowers, but Dad’s sneezes mean the flowers have to go! Kate realizes she needs to find a new place for her flowers to spend the winter, but where?

My Review:

You can't help but love the adorable bunny, Kate, in Saving Kate's Flowers.  She is determined to save all the flowers from the upcoming cold weather.  Her mom agrees to let her bring a few inside.  Kate goes all out and gathers as many as she can.  When her dad comes home, Kate is disheartened to learn that her father is allergic to flowers.  To remedy the situation, she gives the flowers to neighbors and friends to enjoy.  It's a sweet book that shows kindness and helps kids learn the names of some flowers.

The "For Creative Minds" section in the back of the book gives readers more info on plant parts, flower identification, and the life cycle of plants.  It also gives step-by-step instructions on how to pot your own flowers.

Saving Kate's Flowers is a Fall 2016 release from Arbordale Publishing.

One person will win Saving Kate's Flowers children's book.

I love dandelions, even if I am the only one. There's nothing prettier after a cold dull winter than a green field full of bright yellow dandelion flowers.

I've always loved sunflowers, i use to see fields of them when i was a little girl but you don't see that anymore unfortunately. I love gardening so there isn't a flower i don't love but I've always loved gardenias too for their smell really.
