Wooly Snuffle Mat - Pet Product Review and Giveaway

I received product for review from PAW5.  The opinions within this post are of my own and I was not influenced in any way.  Please do your own research before purchasing products or using services.  Your opinions and results may differ.
Helen foraging for her food

My dog, Helen, gets fed at around noon every day. At 12:02 her food is gone. She goes after it like it's the last meal on earth. I'd be seriously surprised if any of it was properly chewed. I don't mind that Helen is quick and to the point, but I know it can't be good on her digestive system. Helen was recently introduced to the Wooly Snuffle Mat, a pet product that encourages natural canine behavior and slows down eating. It makes her work for her food.

The Wooly Snuffle Mat was made to stimulate a dog's natural foraging instincts by mimicking the hunt for food in grass and fields.  Dogs have a keen sense of smell and the Wooly Snuffle Mat requires dogs to use their sniffing skills to get their food or treats.

Every Wooly Snuffle Mat is made by hand in rural Thailand at a progressive woman-owned and operated business using upcycled materials.  There is only one color available for Wooly, and it's charcoal gray.  The mat looks almost like a rag carpet, and it has a heavy feel.  It is machine washable.

The concept of Wooly Snuffle Mat is simple.  You just pour the dog's food or treats directly onto the top of the mat and let your dog sniff and snuffle her way through mealtime.  It took me a couple tries to show Helen what she was supposed to do with the Wooly Snuffle Mat.  Once she got the gist of it, she seemed to enjoy sniffing and pawing around for her food pieces.

Helen has been more methodical and slower with her eating habits. The mat also engages her and keeps her entertained. Most of the time Helen is able to get all the food pieces and there's very little that I have to remove myself after mealtime.  Helen seems content with working for her food, rather than going at it all at once.
Win It!

One person will win a Wooly Snuffle Mat.
