Vinegar is wonderful, both for cooking and cleaning. There are several vinegar varieties.
Here is a recipe for Cool Cucumber Salad, using vinegar, that I sometimes make and serve at family gatherings or potlucks.
Cool Cucumber Salad
Serves: Makes 6 (1/2-cup) servings.
Ingredients:
2 cups thinly sliced cucumbers (4 small or 2 large cucumbers)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup thinly sliced onion
1/4 cup vinegar
1/4 cup water
1 tablespoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon McCormick® Black Pepper, Coarse Ground
Directions:
Place cucumber slices in medium bowl. Sprinkle with salt. Stir in onions. Mix remaining ingredients in small bowl. Pour over cucumbers and onions; toss lightly. Cover. Refrigerate 1 hour or until ready to serve. Toss before serving.

Umm I am not too sure I would like that but I am willing to try most anything. I will ask my husband if he will eat it. If he says yes, then it is on our menu to try. Thank you for the suggestion.
I've tried a salad like this, it also uses vinegar. However they added in tomatoes and red onions. Definitely spicy, but refreshing!
