Mighty Mandalas - Adult Coloring Book Review and Giveaway

I received product for review from Vivid Owl Coloring.  The opinions within this post are of my own and I was not influenced in any way.  Please do your own research before purchasing products or using services.  Your opinions and results may differ.

As many of you know I jumped on the bandwagon and took up the hobby of adult coloring books.  I discovered a love for it last year and have been hooked since.  I've found that coloring is calming and brings down my stress level. I have a tiered container full of gel pens, markers and colored pencils that have been used upon many coloring pages. I am not alone in this; adult coloring books have become quite the rage.

One company that I've come across and really like is Vivid Owl Coloring, based out of Finland, and one of their recently released adult coloring books is Mighty Mandalas.

Vivid Owl Coloring’s Mighty Mandalas adult coloring book contains 20 mandala-inspired designs. The patterns draw on diverse themes, from ornate florals to eerie skulls. Some of the designs in this book even hide secrets that will be revealed when you color in the design. All the designs are original, hand-drawn images.

Each page is is two-sided, meaning the entire illustration spans two pages.  What makes this book different than other mandala coloring books I've seen is that they're not your typical mandala images.  Although the aesthetic design of each one is mandala themed, these images are more variegated.

A nice feature of this book is that the back sides of each page are intentionally left blank to prevent bleed-through onto other illustrations.  I'd prefer if the pages were perforated but there's still enough leeway on each one to carefully cut or tear them out without cutting into the design.  The paper quality the book is favorable for coloring pencils, pens, markers, and other utensils.

Although I haven't completed an entire picture yet, I have gotten much enjoyment out of coloring in this book.  I've started on some of the illustrations and will hopefully have some finished soon.  Some designs are more intricate than others, but they're all skillfully arranged.  I definitely recommend this adult coloring books, as well as the others that are available, to purchase as gifts for the enthusiast or for yourself as a source of relaxation.
