Molly Mutt Dog Bed - #mollymutt Review and Giveaway

I received products for review.  The opinions within this post are of my own and I was not influenced in any way.  Please do your own research before purchasing products or using services.  Your opinions and results may differ.

As many of you know, my mother passed away in April.  Both her little pup and my bigger dog took on the loss as much as anyone.  Only they didn't understand why she was no longer around.  Her pup actually sleeps on a pile of mom's clothes every night.  And my dog is able to retain a part of her with the new dog bed from Molly Mutt.

Molly Mutt is a company that specializes in dog bed duvets.  They also sell crate covers and collars.  A Molly Mutt dog bed duvet is a square, zippered cover.  With the zippered opening, you can stuff it with blankets, pillows and clothes to "cushion and create" a dog bed for your furbaby.  In other words, you stuff the duvet with items you have on hand to create a dog bed.

Molly Mutt stuff sack and dog duvet packaged as when I first received them

Although you can use the dog bed duvet by itself, there's also stuff sacks that you can purchase.  The stuff sacks resemble a mesh laundry bag and with it, you can put the pillows, old clothes, and blankets inside.  Once you've filled the stuff sack,  you place it inside the duvet.  I think it gives added protection in case the dog chews or rips through the duvet itself.

The dog bed duvets are available in a variety of sizes and patterns.  I chose the Northwestern Girls pattern, which had a multi-color plaid look.  Using some of mom's old clothes, raggedy blankets, and dirty pillows I filled the stuff sack.  Then I inserted the sack into the duvet.  After giving it a few pats to form a comfortable square shape, I laid the newly created bed out on the floor for Helen.  She took an immediate liking to it.  Dog noses are sensitive and I believe Helen can sniff out the scents of the familiar inside the duvet.

The fabric of the duvet is very durable and seems like it will stand through the test of time.  If your dog happens to dirty the duvet or stuff sack, they are machine washable.  The Molly Mutt dog duvets are a great concept because dogs tend to gravitate towards smells they like and are familiar with.  It also provides a place to put old clothing and bedding, allowing you to upcycle.

Molly Mutt offers free standard shipping within the United States, and duvet personalization is available at an additional cost.
