Book Overview:
Bestselling author Dandi Daley Mackall tells the story of Jesus’ birth from an unlikely perspective: a donkey carrying Mary to Bethlehem. The donkey is not the fastest or strongest animal, but he had an important job all the same. With an exciting message that teaches little ones about God, One Small Donkey is a Christmas story children will love.
My Review:
With the holidays soon here, Christmas books are making their appearance. A hardcover book told in rhythmic form, One Small Donkey is a book about the best thing of Christmas - the birth of Jesus. The story is told from the donkey's point-of-view and the tale seems to indicate that the donkey is not sure he's big enough or brave enough to be a part of this historical event. By the end, the donkey discovers that it was an important character in the holy birth. One Small Donkey is a precious book, and would be a nice addition to anyone's Christmas stories collection.
Win It!

Thanks for your kind words about ONE SMALL DONKEY. Honestly, I'm honored you found time to read and review, in between 911 calls, big family, and dog! I've written lots and lots of books, but I think this is the first picture book that works for Christmas, but all year too. It's not always easy to be the little one. Thanks again for inviting me to this lovely blog. Dandi www.dandibooks.com
