My favorite was the Golden Book The Pokey Little Puppy and now a favorite of the grandkids.
My favorite book was Black Beauty
got a lot of them but one is the pokey little puppy . the lady that made the storey I got to met and know her years a go my mom had takeing care of her. and well it was a golden book at one time thay where made in my city.

The Tiger Who Came to Tea by Judith Kerr is a cute little book for the kids, too.
