Get out the pasta and pick your favorite sauce. It's National Spaghetti Day!
I like my spaghetti best when it's piled atop mashed potatoes. #CarbOverload
Here is a recipe from Explore Cuisine that you can make to celebrate the day:
Black Bean Spaghetti with Heirloom Tomatoes
Ingredients for 4 people
1 package Explore Cuisine Black Bean Spaghetti – cooked, drained
2 large heirloom tomatoes– seeded, chopped
2 ½ T. olive oil, divided
2 garlic cloves minced
5 basil leaves, cut into ribbons
salt and red pepper flakes to taste
Instructions
Gently combine tomatoes with ½ T. olive oil, garlic, basil, and salt, and red pepper flakes.
Toss spaghetti with 2 T. olive oil.
Top with heirloom tomato mixture.
What's your favorite spaghetti dish? Any sauce or topping you like best?

I had no idea that there was a national spaghetti day that is cool because I love it. I live it the traditional way with meat balls and red sauce.
