I know it's only March, but I wanted to give you a heads-up about an important issue that will be addressed next month. April is Autism Awareness Month. According the CDC’s Autism and Developmental Disabilities Monitoring (ADDM) Network about 1 in 68 children has been identified with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Autism can make normal daily activities challenging and stressful for children and their parents. Some products on the market provide solutions to common challenges and enhance the lives of families living with autism. Playgro’s Bead Buddy Giraffe is the perfect sized friend for little hands to grip and shake, with colorful rattling beads and a click-clack spinning handle to encourage baby's auditory stimulation.
I don't have any wee ones in my home but I have several younger nieces and nephews. And a lot of my gal pals are either pregnant or will be having a baby soon. I love shopping for baby gifts and seeing what's on the market.
One item that I recommend for baby is the Playgro Bead Buddy Giraffe. Take it as a gift to a baby shower and I can almost guarantee the expectant mom will be thrilled.
This toy provides lots of visual and auditory stimulation. The colors are bright and vibrant, and it's made to help babies with their development. On the giraffe's neck are different colored plastic rings that make a click-clack sound, and the tummy holds beads that make a rattling sound when it's shaken. There's a mix of fabrics for tactile stimulation. Part of the rattle has a cloth feel and the other has a silky feel. Some parts of the giraffe make a crinkly sound. This rattle is cute and targets a lot of baby's senses.
One person will win a Playgro Bead Buddy Giraffe.
