It's National Running Day

I'm going to be honest with you, I don't run unless I'm being chased and in fear for my life.  I haven't perfected the art of proper breathing and feel like my lungs are slowly collapsing when I run.

But that doesn't mean I don't admire those who do run.  Can you believe there's people who actually do it for fun?  I know, right!

My oldest son is one of those people.  He started running with the Track team in 6th grade and the Cross Country team his freshman year.  On top of that, he's participated in several 5K races and runs several miles around the neighborhood every day.

Whether it be around the block or for five miles, lace up your running shoes today and take some laps.  It'll help your cardiovascular health.

I participated in a 26 mile marathon when I was a kid. I was in elementary at the time but since I was still too young, I didn't successfully complete it. However, I was able to successfully complete 10 miles, which isn't too bad considering my young age..
