Book Overview:

‘I’m in here. Come on. I’m in here. Come and play with me. I’ve been waiting for you…’

When Rebecca's childhood abuser avoids prosecution, it sets her on a path to revenge, revenge on any man who preys on the innocent. Twenty-three-year-old Rebecca poses as a child online and sets her trap, luring one predatory paedophile after another to their deaths. When a man's severed head is found washed up on a windswept estuary beach, the police begin their investigation.

My Review:

I enjoy reading books and like to go through different genres, but it's been a while since I've enthusiastically read a book in less than two days.  A Mind To Kill had me engrossed from the first page and I simply couldn't put it down.

A Mind To Kill tells of a girl named Rebecca who was demonized by sexual abuse at the age of six.  Her abuser was never caught, and Rebecca had never gotten over her past.  She holds a lot of anger towards everyone, including her parents and the DI who she feel didn't do his best.  Rebecca decides to take matters into her own hands and show select sex abusers pain, torture, and death.  Throughout the pages, readers can feel Rebecca's emotional hurt, disparage towards the justice system, and lust for killing.  At times I could feel myself having anger towards Rebecca for the way she treated those who cared about her.  And, at other times, I could understand why she harbored such rage.  Author, John Nicholl, has written a suspenseful book that's gripping to the very end.
