Macadamia Professional Hair Care Products - Review and Giveaway

I received products for review.  The opinions within this post are of my own and I was not influenced in any way.  Please do your own research before purchasing products or using services.  Your opinions and results may differ.

Blame it on genetics, climate change, or the passage of time, the struggle to style fine and thin hair is real.  Here are five simple steps brought to you by Macadamia Professional that will transform straight and thin strands into bouncy, voluminous locks that you are going to love.

1.       Cleanse

If you have baby fine hair, getting rid of dirt and grime should be first on the agenda. The ultra-lightweight formula of Macadamia Professional’s Weightless Moisture Shampoo ($22, Ulta.com) cleanses scalp and hair without weighing it down or compromising volume. Infused with the goodness of Macadamia, Argan, Avocado, and Walnut oil, the shampoo is a perfect remedy for strengthening and nourishing baby fine hair. Apply a few dollops of shampoo to wet hair and scalp, and gently massage. Then rinse thoroughly with water.

2. Hydrate

Follow the wash with some pampering using Macadamia Professional’s Weightless Moisture Conditioner ($22, Ulta.com). A combination of Collagen and Vitamins A, C, and E - the conditioner provides lightweight hydration and prevents breakage, which is a common problem with fine hair. Apply the conditioner, starting from the ends and work your way up to the scalp. Leave the conditioner in for 1-2 minutes and rinse thoroughly.

3. Replenish

Excessive exposure to windy, dry, or cold weather leaves your hair dry rendering it vulnerable to breakage, frizziness, and split ends. In such cases, use Macadamia Professional’s Weightless Moisture Masque ($36, Ulta.com) for replenishment. The masque protects your hair against harmful environmental elements, replenishes nutrients, and improves elasticity. Infused with Macadamia Professional’s exclusive Pro Oil complex and walnut oil, the masque detangles your hair, prevents frizz, and enhances texture. After shampooing, apply hair masque from mid-lengths to ends and leave it for five to ten minutes then rinse it thoroughly. Use the product once or twice a week, depending on the extent of hair damage.

4. Volumize

Once you are done setting the right ground for those perfect voluminous looks, it’s time to turn to the magic potion - the Foaming Volumizer by Macadamia Professional ($19.95, MacadamiaHair.com). A whipped, airy mousse, the volumizer consists of Tapioca Starch, Pistachio, Macadamia, and Argan oils which give your baby fine hair weightless lift and shine with no residue build-up. It protects your hair against the ill-effects of styling tools, no matter how ambitious you are with your style influences. To apply, take an egg-size amount of the volumizer and distribute it evenly throughout damp hair, working your way from scalp to ends.

5. Style

Lastly, your baby fine hair needs a touch of Tousled Texture Finishing Spray by Macadamia Professional ($19.95, MacadamiaHair.com). The spray adds instant volume, texture, and lift to baby fine hair. The lightweight formula of this dry spray works well for different hairstyles, including longer layered styles, loose braids, and short textured look. To apply, shake the can well, hold it 8-10 inches away from styled hair, and spray up throughout or into layers.

If there's one thing I almost always try to achieve when styling my hair, it's volume.  I want oomph; I want lift; I want life!  But I have lifeless hair.  And honestly, I don't want to spend hours on it trying to create an uplift.  Not that it does all the work for me, but I have to say Macadamia Professional hair care products have been quite beneficial in giving my hair volume and affording me the probability that my hair won't fall flat.

I'd never heard of Macadamia Professional before trying some of their products, but I'm a big fan of them now.  I love how clean and smooth my hair feels after applying the products.  I would liken the fragrance to that of nuts with a hint of tanning lotion.  I like the summertime smell.

My favorite of the five products I received is the Tousled Texture Finishing Spray.  When I spray it on damp hair, it keeps the natural waves in place without making it look all hard and crunchy.

I'll share a lot of things with a lot of people, but I've laid down the law on the Macadamia Professional products.  They're mine and mine alone to use.  Call it stingy, but I like how each hair care product works and I enjoy using each one in my routine to add life to my tresses.

Win It!

One person will win Macadamia Professional Weightless Moisture Shampoo, Conditioner, and Masque.

My hair is about 3 inches below my shoulders. I was born blonde and remained blonde until a few years ago when my hair turned a dark blonde or light brown, but has a lot of silver streaks running through it. I am having a hard time getting used to it.

My curls are past my shoulder blades when dry, waist length when wet. Natural color is dark brown (think espresso, almost black) but I cover the many grays and like to have natural looking Auburn/copper highlights. So my hair definitely needs a lot of moisture, especially in the Fall and Winter!
