Heck Of A Thanksgiving - 2017

With the beautiful weather and absolutely no drama, this Thanksgiving can be marked as one of my favorite in the books.  My niece hosted it for the first time in her home.  Thank goodness she's got many, many rooms because we filled that place up.  A little over 35 people got together to visit and feast.

Part of my clan - Me and Jason with four of our kids and our bonus granddaughter
We all look short next to Adam, the Grape Ape

I'm pretty sure we had more than enough food to feed an Army.  It was overflowing onto bookshelves.  I gorged, then made up six styrfoam takeout containers for leftovers.  It was lots of microwaved meals for the next few days after.

My niece and her man made up this Pinterest-worthy meat and cheese tray.  They make their stuff look all pretty while I'm over here trying to cut pickles with a butter knife.

After a few hours of eating, talking, taking photos and eating more we headed home.  It wasn't much later that I headed over to my friend's house and we got in full gear for Christmas shopping.

Jason and great-niece, MaKynzee

MaKynzee goes to preschool at the same church Jason works for.  She calls him Mr. J there and is still too young to establish that he's also her Uncle J.  She's mind blown when someone tries to explain it, so we just keep it at Mr. J.  No need to confuse the kid.

How was your Thanksgiving?
What kind of foods did you eat?

The littles are so cute! I love kids. Working at a preschool sounds fun to me.

35 sounds like a full house indeed. Full of lots of laughs and love, I'm sure.
