Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque and Scrub - Review

I received products for review.  The opinions within this post are of my own and I was not influenced in any way.  Please do your own research before purchasing products or using services.  Your opinions and results may differ.

I like to experiment with different bath and beauty products.  I'm not loyal to any one particular brand but I do keep a mental list of what's worked for me in the past and what hasn't.  The ones that work well on my skin are the products that I will purchase time and again.

I recently learned of a drug store brand, Queen Helene, a retailer in quality and beauty products for professional and personal use since 1930.  It's been around a while, so apparently it's doing something right.  Even if the first time I heard about the company is when I received products for review.  Queen Helene's products are inspired by nature’s finest ingredients because they are safer, and often more effective, than harsh chemicals and unnecessary additives.

The Mint Julep Masque by Queen Helene is formulated to absorb excess oil, extract impurities, and minimize the appearance of pores.  It works by applying a layer of the masque to your face once or twice weekly. Once the masque is applied, let it sit for 10-15 minutes. You will feel your face start to tighten.  It has a refreshing mint smell and a thick consistency.  After time is up, rinse the masque away with water.  I have dull, damaged skin and wear makeup often so I'm impressed that the masque makes my skin feel super clean and firm. I can see visual results that are assuring and efficient.

The Mint Julep Scrub is also formulated for the face and can be used to clean and help unclog pores.  It's made to draw out impurities and maintain skin moisture balance.  I take a shower every other day and use this scrub to wash my face clean during those times.  The little scrubbing beads work great with exfoliating the particularly dry skin around my nose.

This may have been the first time I've heard of Queen Helene but, after using the two Mint Julep face treatments, I doubt it's the last time I use their products.
