Random Tuesday Thoughts - Vehicle Damage and Christmas Hats

I've been doing it for years, so I'd say Random Tuesday Thoughts is my favorite linkup.  If you'd like to participate, blog your randomness and submit your link at Stacy Uncorked.  While you're there, wish her a happy belated birthday.

Speaking of birthdays, mine is tomorrow.  Going to be 41 years old.  Ya know, I look back and wonder how that age crept up on me so fast.  Jason and I are going to celebrate with family in St. Louis over the weekend.

Last Thursday I stopped into a gas station before my way to work.  A guy was backing out of the lot and didn't see me there.  Our vehicles had a little get-together and my front bumper took a beating.  He was super cool and super sorry about it.  His insurance company was Quick Draw McGraw and hasn't hesitated to get my vehicle fixed or offer a rental car.  I'm not mad; It's just a minor inconvenience, that's all.
I had my first ever mammogram the other day.  The stories I've heard didn't live up to the hype.  I didn't like my tatas getting pounded and smashed any more than the next gal does, but I've had much worse procedures done on my bag o' bones.  I got the good news yesterday that my boobies are A-OK.  At least part of my body is in good working condition.

I got together with some gals from my Small Group last week to purchase gifts for senior citizens.  We drew four names from the Senior Citizen Giving Tree and went on a spree to make their Christmas merry and bright.

I've never been much of a hat person, especially beanies.  But ever since purchasing this Deck the Halls hat on Black Friday, I've barely taken it off.  It's nice to just throw it on and not have to do my hair.  Now I need to get one for the rest of the holidays. (or maybe I'll wear this Christmas one all year - #NoShame)
I went with my daughter and her husband to watch The Star in theater last week.  It's cutesy and I like how it leads to the birth of Jesus but that's about all I have to say for it.  Probably wouldn't watch it again.
What's your randomness for the week?
Done with Christmas shopping yet?

First, i wish you many, many happy returns of your birthday!

Sorry about the car, and glad they are on it.

Hooray for taking the twins in for their glamor shots! No, it's not fun, but for most of us it's not really that painful, more of a time drain than anything else. It's nice to have the peace of mind once it's over, too.

While i've done shopping for needy children for years, i have not thought about elders, since so many elderly people i know have more stuff than they could ever use. It's time to rethink that.

Hope you have a great Tuesday!

Happy birthday from one December baby to another! Mine is next Saturday and I am also wondering how age is creeping on by.

Yikes on the car!

That was really lovely of you all to buy for the seniors. While I always buy for two kids, my mom always buys for seniors at the holidays.

Other than the car, sounds like a good week. I'm glad you're okay & there wasn't much damage! We are finally getting snow here, we're under a winter storm warning today. I'm doing okay on the Christmas shoppping, other than stocking stuffers I'm done with our adult daughters. Just have to finish up everyone else's. :)

Hope you had a great birthday. My friend's husband has a birthday on the 13th too.
I am sure you will be putting big smiles on some senior citizens' faces with your generous gifts. Merry Christmas! Maybe you'll get a New Year's hat for Christmas :)
