Live Fearless: A Call to Power, Passion, and Purpose - Book Review and Giveaway

Book Overview:

*Sadie Robertson, bestselling author and star of Dancing with the Stars, has an important message for her generation: you don’t have to be held back by fear, anxiety, or loneliness anymore. In Live Fearless, Sadie takes you on a thrilling personal journey toward power, passion, and purpose as you live at the center of who God created you to be!

*Despite being more connected than any prior generation via technology and social media, today’s young people often feel more isolated and anxious than ever before. As they come of age in an uncertain world full of scary headlines and mixed messages, Sadie’s story of overcoming fear and anxiety offers hope. Through personal stories, practical insights, and creative solutions, Sadie marks a path toward freedom from fear, anxiety, and comparison.

*Written for teens by a teenager who has trekked through these relatable struggles, Live Fearless shows readers how God’s plans begin with freedom and only get better from there. Sadie equips young people to walk a very personal and powerful journey with God, to learn to answer life’s questions with faith instead of fear, to live without limitations, and to relinquish the effort it takes to try to control the world around them. This timeless and crucial message benefits from Sadie’s fresh, vibrant delivery, and young people will be drawn to her authenticity and relatability throughout the book.

My Review:

You'd be hard pressed to find someone who doesn't know the Duck Dynasty celebrities.  They're famous for the family-themed television show about duck calls, country living, and Christian beliefs.  Although I'm not a devoted fan of Duck Dynasty, I've watched their shows from time to time and admire that they stand firm in their religious beliefs.

A hardback book written for tweens and teens, Live Fearless is mostly written by Sadie Robertson, one of the daughters in Duck Dynasty.  I'm smitten with her compassion, kindness, and genuine attitude.  I was surprised to find that she has suffered from fear and anxiety, beings that she seems to have it all.

Sadie Robertson is wise beyond her years, but writes in a way that's relatable to teenagers.  She speaks of personal fears and qualms, and her devotion to family and God.  She gives practical advice to young adults on how to manage stressors, stand strong in faith, and be of Godly character.  I'm very comfortable with letting my teen daughters read this book.
