Sometimes I'll get a gander at making a recipe I've come across on Facebook. One popped up for Amish Broccoli Salad, and I knew right then and there that's what I was making as my contribution for Easter. Must have went over well; There wasn't much left.
I'm no pro with food pics but here's the recipe in case you'd like to give it a try:
AMISH BROCCOLI SALAD
Served 6-8
Ingredients:
1 head broccoli, chopped
1 head cauliflower, chopped
1 cup mayonnaise
1 cup sour cream
1⁄2 cup sugar
1⁄2 teaspoon salt
1⁄2 lb bacon, fried & crumbled
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Directions:
Combine chopped broccoli and cauliflower in large bowl.
In a separate bowl combine the mayonnaise, sour cream, sugar and salt to make a dressing.
Add the dressing to the broccoli/cauliflower mix, stirring to evenly coat the veggies.
Stir in the bacon and cheese, reserving a small amount to sprinkle on top of salad just before serving.
Refrigerate until ready to serve.

This sounds delicious! I'm going to save the recipe to make for our next family get-together. I think it would be a big hit!
