When God Happens: True Stories of Modern Day Miracles - Book Review

Book Overview:

Many people wonder, does God still perform miracles? Is it even possible with all the darkness in the world today? Fewer Americans believe than ever, and that is why in When God Happens: True Stories of Modern Day Miracles (released June 5, 2018), book editors Angela Hunt and Bill Myers set out to find true stories of God stepping in and solve the problems of regular people who had great faith.

When God Happens will encourage others with the fact that there are no laws of physics or science a loving God must follow to express his love. Each testimony is unique and features both the exciting and every day miracles readers will love:

* A woman encounters angels after a terrorist attack

* A newborn who was diagnosed as medically dead is revived

My Review:

Several times throughout the Bible, we are given examples of God's miracles.  I'm a believer that God still performs miracles today.  Sometimes we see them in the present and sometimes we look back in hindsight and realize that a situation we were in was definitely nothing short of a miracle.

I'll give you a rundown of a miracle I witnessed myself:
My mother was very ill and lived with me for two years.  She was in and out of the hospital numerous times.  At one point, the doctors were sure she wasn't going to make it.  They wanted me to call together a family meeting for the next day to go over her demise and plan for hospice.  I called everyone and notified them.  When we went in to her room that next day, mom was fine.  She was a completely different person.  She went from being someone on her deathbed to being well enough to go home a few days later.  Mom did end up passing away but her time wasn't determined by a doctor.  It was determined by God!

When God Happens is a book compilation of eight stories of miracles.  After each person's story is a short bio about them.  Reading these stories gave me a reminder of God's true awesomeness and how He works in the lives of others.

After reading this book, I was left longing for more.  I love hearing about how God is moving in other people's lives.  If, like me, you want to know about miraculous stories and more then you'll want to check out the When God Happens website.  It's a great complement to this book.

This sounds like a fabulous book. I do believe in miracles and have had some things happen in my life around me that had no logical explanation. I always felt that these people who seemed to show up in the nick of time were angels. I had one experience that happened over 40 years ago that I still can't explain and it's too long to write about here. I just know that I wouldn't be alive now without having an angel intervene or a miracle happen. The girl I was with when we were 15 listened to me when I told her that I heard a voice say not to accept a ride with this 16 year old boy she knew. A year later she was murdered and nobody was ever arrested. I know that miracles still happen today and I can't wait to read this book. Thanks for this giveaway!
