Ecuadane Blanket - Native Ecuadorian Blanket Review

Before you know it, the holiday season will be here. If you’re searching for thoughtful gifts for the special people in your life, Ecuadane has you covered.

Ecuadane, a family company, centers upon discovering unusual, high quality products from all over the world, and sharing them with you.  The company consists of three sisters sharing the beauty of Ecuadorian and Danish culture through their fabrics, while celebrating the artisans who craft them.

For those who've been readers of my blog for at least a year, you probably know how near and dear Ecuador is to my heart.  I went on a week-long mission trip to Quito, Ecuador last September and it was life changing.  The people, the culture, everything...

When given the opportunity to review an authentic Native blanket from Ecuadane, I was on board!
Of the several blankets that Ecuadane offers, I received THE ANTISANA BLANKET ARROW.  It is carefully constructed with a high quality, durable blend of alpaca and synthetic materials, and manufactured in the heart of Ecuador by native Otavaleños living amidst the Andes Mountains and volcanoes.

Like I mentioned before, I have a heart for Ecuador.  I purchased a blanket with alpaca wool when I was there so I'm familiar with the care of a blanket like this.  Some of the fabric does shed, and it's okay.  It's not so bad that it ruins the quality or image of the blanket.  This blanket should be brushed after it's washed and dried to maintain its appearance.  A small brush is included with the purchase of the blanket.

I love so many things about the Antisana blanket from Ecuadane.  For starters, the southwest pattern matches my bedroom decor.  It is patterned on both sides.  For another, it's large in size.  It is Approximately 93” x 82”.  In other words, it will easily wrap around a person - or even two.  I don't have to struggle to keep one part of my body warm while another part stays cold.  This blanket isn't soft but it's not rough and itchy either.  I think it's super comfortable.  I love the quality, design and the size of the blanket.  It's easily one of my favorite blankets I've ever owned.

I received product for review from Ecuadane.  The opinions within this post are of my own and I was not influenced in any way.  Please do your own research before purchasing products or using services.  Your opinions and results may differ.

These are gorgeous! They look like Navajo blankets or rugs, but very soft!
