Food tastes better with flavor. My husband can whip up delicious meals out of almost anything, as long as he's got the right spices and seasonings.
Spice Islands, a leading spice brand that searches the world for the highest quality spices and herbs, has introduced a new line of sea salts and spice blends and will continue to roll out to additional national retailers this Fall. In response to the growing trend of home chefs looking for new experiences and flavors when dining in, Spice Islands developed premium salts and spice blends to give consumers an opportunity to easily and quickly create their own flavor filled, international dining experience at home. Meijer’s is one store chain that carries them.
The line includes:
Spice Islands Merlot Salt (MSRP: $9.99): A fusion of complex, rich red wine and sea salt. Flavorful and briny with a slightly tart, gently oaky finish makes this gourmet salt a flawless addition to any recipe that features wine.
Spice Islands Black Truffle Salt (MSRP: $19.99): An exquisite gourmet blend of treasured Italian black truffle sand sea salt. Savory, aromatic and distinctive, this gourmet salt provides an earthy umami to any meal.
Spice Islands Pink Himalayan Salt (MSRP: $4.99): A luxurious and delectable salt with beautifully formed crystals colored by naturally occurring iron. Hand-mined from ancient sea salt deposits in the foothills of the Himalayan Mountains, the colors naturally range from a gorgeous off-white to a lustrous pink.
Spice Islands Za’atar Salt (MSRP: $5.99): An aromatic spice blend with both earthy and subtle citrus undertones and just a hint of nuttiness. This spice blend highlights the bright flavors of sumac, oregano and sesame seeds and captures the spirit of both Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cooking.
This was the first time we've used Spice Islands in cooking. With the exception of the Merlot Salt, we received a jar of the newest sea salts and spice blends. Jason and I have both been playing around with different ways to use them. They add a unique, interesting flavor to meals. With Jason's fine cooking skills and Spice Islands sea salts and spice blends, we've been experiencing some delicious dishes.
One person will win a selection of new Spice Islands Sea Salts and Spice Blends.
