The Gift That I Can Give - Children's Book Review and Giveaway

Book Overview:

*Ages 4-8

*Help your children discover that they don’t have to wait until they are grownups to make the world a better place! The Gift That I Can Give helps children find unique ways to make a difference today in the lives of those around them. The beautiful new picture book was written by Kathie Lee Gifford and illustrated by Julia Seals.

*Kathie Lee Gifford is the three-time Emmy award-winning cohost of the fourth hour of the Today show, alongside Hoda Kotb. In 2015, Gifford was inducted into the Broadcasting & Cable Hall of Fame. She has written four New York Times bestselling books. Former cohost of Live! with Regis and Kathie Lee, she is also a playwright, producer, singer, songwriter, and actress. Gifford has a passion for children and has been involved in numerous child-help organizations including Cassidy's Place and Cody House, named after her two children.

My Review:

Kathie Lee Gifford is a celebrity name that most of us recognize.  The gal's got some mad skills!  She can host, act, write, mentor and more.  Kathie's latest book, The Gift That I Can Give, explores the thoughts of a child as she wonders what gifts God has in store for her.  Will she take care of stray animals or raise money to help hungry kids?  This precious little girl shows that every person is given a gift, large or small.  All good things can be used to help others.  Readers ultimately learn that God's love is the gift that can always be given, no matter what!

A short story told in rhythmic form, The Gift That I Can Give is a motivating narrative that shows the ways kids can use their God-given talents.  I like this book for its ultimate message of how God loves each and every child and they can make a positive impact in the lives of others.

My husband & I have been doing Random Acts of Kindness for loved ones and strangers & animals for years whenever the opportunity comes up in a wide variety of ways and raised all 5 of our kids, (now adults ages 23-31) the same way and they continue to do so, also.
NOW, our almost 2 yr. old grandson is also learning the love of making a positive difference. He LOVES helping his mama pick up and even helps her put groceries away! He is kind to other kids in daycare & is exceptionally sweet & incredibly gentle & loving to animals. He helps Gramma/Me & PopPop feed the wild birds and animals in our yard when he comes over too.
