My Take On EveryPlate, and A Discount Code for You

I'll give props to my husband; he's an amazing cook.  He will make up a concoction and it will come out tasting like a gourmet meal.  I'm not quite as gifted.  I'm also the one that usually comes up with the meal plans, while he's the one that executes them.  I get creative from time to time, but don't really venture with new or foreign ingredients.

I recently discovered a company that gives me all I need to create marvelous cuisine.  All the ingredients and recipes are provided for the meal plans and all I have to do is follow the instructions.  EveryPlate has made it easy for me to fix meals that are tasty and out of the ordinary.

It seems subscription boxes are all the rage.  I recently purchased my first subscription box from EveryPlate, a weekly food subscription service.  The company offers ingredients and recipes for a variety of exciting meals.  You will discover new, special, and innovative ways to cook.  There is no commitment involved, and you can unsubscribe at anytime.   If you are satisfied with your box, continue with your subscription

EveryPlate offers plans with 3 recipes per week, serving 2 or 4 people. Each week you can choose from five recipes created by their chefs.  The ingredients are fresh and sourced from farms and artisans.  Recipe cards are included for each meal, with detailed directions and pictures.

I received a 2 person meal plan from EveryPlate.  I was able to go on the site and go through the steps to set up delivery. If you don't like what's on the menu for a particular week, you can change it out with one of the other meals offered.  Or, you can pay a little extra for a premium meal.  The scheduled delivery date was set for approximately a week after going through the checkout process.

Chili-Cherry Pork Chops with Roasted Potatoes and Carrots

When my delivery arrived, it was packaged very well.  The food was insulated with insulated liners and gel packs, so it wasn't necessary for me to pick up the package as soon as it arrived at my doorstep.  The food itself was tightly sealed and packaged.

The recipe cards for each meal were easy to follow.  Prep time for each meal was approximately 20-25 minutes, and cook time for each one took approximately 40 minutes.  The only extra ingredients I needed to provide myself was olive oil, flour, salt, and pepper.

Bacon Mac and Cheese with Cheddar and Jalapeño

The three meals I received to prepare were:

Bacon Mac and Cheese with Cheddar and Jalapeño
Chili-Cherry Pork Chops with Roasted Potatoes and Carrots
Gravy Lover’s Meatballs with Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes and Broccoli

Everything had a nice balance of flavors, and some of the ingredients I wouldn't have thought of pairing together on my own turned out quite well.  I was quite satisfied with the company and its food delivery.

Compared to other food subscription boxes, I'd say this one delivers more simple, home-styled meals.  I do wish there were more options to choose from each week, rather than one regular and one premium swap-out choice.  A weekly 2-person meal plan with three recipes totals at $29.94 + $8.99 shipping.
