an area set up in the guest bedroom
It's not overly fancy or overly big but it's ours. I'm pretty simple and didn't have a lot of specific criteria for what I wanted. Jason's big sell was being able to have a large garage. He got his wish! The one we have now fits two cars and was built five years ago.
Jason knows that I hate dealing with businesses and a bunch of paperwork. It throws me into an anxiety attack. I would've thrown in the towel a long time ago but he was a saint and kept me from having to do a bunch of legwork. Buying a house is no small feat. There's enough paperwork to kill ten trees, credit checks, offers and counteroffers, appraisals, inspections, and tons of other tasks. It took just a few days under a month for the process to be complete.
I miss having a big fenced-in back yard and a screened-in porch but I'm very happy with where we're at and that I can make the place mine, all mine.
We had friends who helped with the move and Jason was able to borrow the enclosed trailer from church so it wasn't as tedious of a task as it could have been.
one trailer load ready to go from one place to another
Amazon, Wal-Mart and Shopko have seen a good deal of me lately. It's been fun purchasing new shower curtains, window curtains, and other home decor.
Shelby's got the good juju. Helen had no problem going down the stairs for her.

Congratulations on buying your first home. How exciting! Our dog was really afraid of the stairs when we made our last move too. Lol.
That's so exciting! Paperwork like that gives me anxiety as well. I would've thrown in the towel if my hubby didn't take care of it so all I had to do was sign at the end. lol Congrats on home ownership. :)
Thats's so exciting! I get all nervous with big purchases too.
