A couple weeks ago I went with some friends along the creeks and discovered that one can find geodes there. If you look for certain patterns and textures of rocks, you can determine if it is, in fact, a geode. You can see what they look like on the inside by smashing it open against other rocks. I picked up several and added them to my collection at home.

Covered in all-natural creek water and sweat.
Do you like to take nature hikes?
Do you collect rocks or geodes?

I've never even thought to look for geodes. I probably walk by them all the time and have never noticed. So cool that you found so many at the creek!
I have no idea what to look for when searching for geodes, but I have a daughter that would LOVE to go on a geode hunt. Maybe when it is not 100 degrees outside we will do just that! Yours are very cool.
it's fun to just go out and explore! You picked up some nice ones
Those look very cool. I am new to geodes. Didn't know what they were.
I love nature hikes. My husband used to find arrowheads when he was growing up - on his property.
