Cordyn, Indiana Trip to See the Son

He'll always be my baby in my eyes.

Three weeks ago Jason and I headed to Cordyn, Indiana to visit my youngest son, Adam.  It'd been six months since I'd seen him and hadn't yet been to the new place where he moved.  It was a short weekend trip but I loved the quality time and seeing my boy.

Jason having an in-depth discussion with a statue of some important Cordyn figure.

Adam moved a few months ago from TN to IN to work as a welder for a small shop.  Rather than rent a house, he bought a camper and moved into an in-town campground.  It's perfect for a bachelor and his dog.

Helen was beyond elated to see Jason again.

With a town that has a population of around 3200, there sure is enough to see and do.  Cordyn was the first state capital of Indiana, so a lot of history revolves around that.  There's also a lot of mom-and-pop shops around the Square.  Butt Drugs and White House Confections were a couple of our favorites.

Friday, we basically hung around the camper and caught up on happenings.  We also took a walk around the surrounding creeks.  Saturday, we ate at Cracker Barrel and toured the historic downtown area.  Sunday, we watched church online.  Then it was time to head home.

I will definitely be back soon, hopefully before the end of Fall.  There's so much more I want to see and do.

Looks like a great trip. I saw my youngest son after not seeing him for a few years. I was so nervous & excited. He will be deployed soon with the army & then I won't see him for probably 3 years. It's hard letting go but the reuniting is great.

I've lived in Indiana most of my life and have never been to Cordyn. I think I may need to take a road trip. It sounds charming there!

You and yours always seem to have so much on your trips. You stop and see places that most people would not. Sounds like you had a lot of fun. And he was smart to live in a camper
