Stoney Creek Inn Staycation

my face getting a facial

Brenda and Kandi hanging out by the tree

Two or three times a year I like to get together with family and friends with a little staycation at a local hotel.  The first week of December, we decided to hang at Stoney Creek Inn for a night.  COVID restrictions were in place so we had to wear masks most of the time and the breakfast buffet was ran differently, but we had a great time anyway.

I was gonna sleep on the top bunk cause the bottom bunk was taken.  Ole' girl decided not to take that risk.  I slept on the couch.

Stoney Creek Inn has a mostly rustic theme throughout and the local one is kept up quite well.  I can't say that for some of our hotels in town.  Seems some have taken quite the dump lately.

Anyways, we spent a night in one of the bigger suites while we swam in the pool, painted nails, did facials, had a few adult beverages, and ate Steak 'n Shake.

I'm all for all-out vacays, but sometimes it's the little staycay moments in  life that make memories.

Do you ever take a night just to hang out in a hotel?  When's the last time you took some time to yourself?

This is so fun! A staycation can be a lot of fun. That bunk bed is so cool, but I wouldn't want to sleep on top either. LOL Going for a swim sounds so lovely right now.

I really like staycations. You don’t have to worry about remember ing everything. Sill a lot of fun, but no driving and driving.

I have never heard of Stony Creek before, but the rooms look charming. I don't staycation because my town sucks LOL. Though, Chicago isn't too far, like 2 hours from me, so I kind of consider that a staycation when we go into the city for a little fun.
