Hello, My Name is Hope

Had you going there for a minute didn't I! My name isn't Hope, it's Terra. However, I do have hope that breast cancer awareness is widespread and that a cure is found.

I have a family member who I saw suffer through breast cancer. She dealt with it for over thirteen years and even had both breasts removed to slow the disease. After grueling through being overtaken by breast cancer, she finally succumbed to the disease and passed away. Other forms of cancer have taken the life of my father and step-father. I hate how it can take away the lives of loved ones, yet I am encouraged by those who have survived.

Quill, a direct marketer of office products, is helping boost breast cancer awareness with the "Hello My Name is Hope" campaign. All Facebook users who personalize and post virtual stickers on their profiles will be helping raise breast cancer awareness. For every sticker shared, Quill will donate $1 (up to $20,000) to City of Hope, a comprehensive cancer center. Quill will also display every sticker created in a community gallery on their Facebook page.

I can't personally take away the cancer that's afflicted so many (although that would be a wish come true) but I can do my part to raise awareness and funds. So can you.

In exchange for this post, I am eligible to win a gift card courtesy of MomSelect. The opinions within this post are of my own. Your opinions and results may differ.
