illuMask™ Anti-Aging Phototherapy Mask - Review

I received product for review.  The opinions within this post are of my own and I was not influenced in any way.  Please do your own research before purchasing products or using services.  Your opinions and results may differ.
I'd never heard of phototherapy, until recently. Apparently light therapy, also known as phototherapy, is one of the oldest treatments used to treat various health conditions. LED light phototherapy harnesses the natural healing power of the sun, while being 100% free of damaging ultraviolet (UV) light. I don't know enough about phototherapy to list the pros or cons, but I know I'm interested in products that help reduce skin aging.

The illuMask™ Anti-Aging Phototherapy Mask is designed to help with the signs of aging. I've been using it daily for almost three weeks now. It uses gentle red and infrared light wavelengths and uniformly distributes the light over the entire face for fifteen minutes a day. Containing 30 treatments in one convenient, lightweight mask, the Anti-Aging Phototherapy Mask is an ultra-affordable step in your skincare routine that delivers clinically proven results. Safe for all skin types and tones, the gentle treatment does not emit any damaging UV rays. Clinical results showed illuMask™ Anti-Aging Phototherapy Mask to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles in as little as two weeks.

The mask itself looks like something that would come out of Lady Gaga's closet. The face mask is plain white and the eye shield resembles black sunglasses. Attached is a controller with a power button and treatment counter. Batteries are included.

The illuMask™ Anti-Aging Phototherapy Mask is simple to use. You first need to wash and dry your face prior to treatment to remove oil and makeup. Then you put on the illuMask like you would a pair of glasses. You will not be able to see anything so I recommend that you stay sitting while taking the treatment. Press and hold the power button to begin your treatment. The device has visible red light (which you can see) and infrared lights (which you cannot see). The illuMask treatment lasts fifteen minutes. There is no heat, sound or vibration. The only thing you will see is a red glow. The illuMask will turn off automatically after 15 minutes. After each treatment the counter will show how many treatments of the 30 remain. Once you have taken all 30 treatments of the illuMask, it will no longer be usable and you'll need to dispose of it.

I still have a few sessions left out of my illuMask™ Anti-Aging Phototherapy Mask. I can't say it's permanently erased wrinkles or fine lines, but I can say I see a noticeable, more positive change in my skin's appearance. My skin tone is improved and visibly brighter and smoother.

The illuMask™ Anti-Aging Phototherapy Mask can be purchased at Walmart, Ulta, Target, Walgreens, or via Also available is the illuMask™ Anti-Acne Light Therapy Mask to help treat acne problems.
