Freddy the Frogcaster and the Big Blizzard - Children's Book Review

I received book for review.  The opinions within this post are of my own and I was not influenced in any way.  Please do your own research before purchasing products or using services.  Your opinions and results may differ.
There’s a blizzard blowing toward Lilypad and someone has to warn the frogs! Frog News Network meteorologist Sally Croaker is busy in the newsroom and Polly Woggins is preparing for live broadcasts in the snow. It’s up to Freddy the Frogcaster to spread the news and get everyone prepared for the snow storm!

The second book in the popular Freddy the Frogcaster series from Janice Dean “The Weather Machine,” Freddy the Frogcaster and the Big Blizzard will entertain the whole family with a fanciful blend of weather facts and froggy fiction.
For many of us, snow and harsh winter weather will be here before we know it.  We should all be prepared for different weather conditions, children included.  A hardcover book with colorful illustrations, Freddy the Frogcaster and the Big Blizzard tells of a frog named Freddy who is quite wise with weather information.  When he and his classmates learn that a blizzard is soon upon them, Freddy takes action and prepares weather emergency kits.  It's because of the supplies in the kits that a newscaster is able to escape from a blizzard, and Freddy is hailed as a hero.
Furthering upon blizzards, the back of the book has a section on winter storms.  Children can learn about what conditions make up a blizzard.  There's also a Winter Storm Checklist.  Freddy the Frogcaster and the Big Blizzard is educational in a way that keeps kids engaged.
Freddy the Frogcaster and the Big Blizzard is a 2014 Regnery Kids release.

That's a fun way to present the harsh reality some winter storms can be. I like the colorful pics.
