Heat Up Home Meals with DINTY MOORE® Chicken & Dumplings - #HormelFamily

It’s October, which means fall is in full swing—bring on the comfort food and seasonal holidays! With the days growing shorter and extended family coming to town, life can get pretty hectic.

The leaves are falling off the trees, it’s getting colder, and your family is about to spend a lot more time inside. Greet them with a warm Chicken Pot Pie, featuring Dinty Moore® chicken and dumplings stew, after school or work—in less than 30 minutes, you can have them out the door and soaking up what’s left of the sunshine!

Chicken Pot Pie


1 teaspoon all-purpose flour
1 (9-inch) refrigerated pie crust
1 (20-ounce) can DINTY MOORE® Chicken & Dumplings
1 (15-ounce) can mixed vegetables, drained


1.Heat oven to 450°F.

2.Sprinkle flour over pie crust. Place crust, flour-side-down, on baking sheet. Place 1 1/2-quart round casserole over crust. Cut around edge of casserole; remove casserole. Trim additional 1/4 inch from edge of crust; cut slits in center.

3.Bake crust 9 to 11 minutes or until light golden brown.

4.In saucepan, stir together chicken and dumplings and mixed vegetables. Cook until heated thoroughly. Pour mixture into 1 1/2-quart casserole. Top with baked crust. Serve immediately.

This recipe is recommended for 4 servings.

I have had Dinty Moore chicken and dumplings in the past and loved it. Just wrote it in on my grocery list to try this out!
