I received products for review from Mary Kay. The opinions within this post are of my own and I was not influenced in any way. Please do your own research before purchasing products or using services. Your opinions and results may differ.
I've never been cursed with lots of acne, but I have breakouts from time to time. At the age that I am, I have enough skin issues without worrying about acne or blemishes. Mary Kay, a leader in innovative skin care and makeup, sent me their Clear Proof Acne System for review. It is a skin care regimen that uses combination salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide as its acne fighting ingredients. Salicylic acid exfoliates dead skin while benzoyl peroxide reduces bacteria. The system includes a Clarifying Cleansing Gel, Blemish Control Toner, Acne Treatment Gel, and an Oil-Free Moisturizer. Its intended purpose is to clear up existing acne and help future acne from forming in the first place.
Each of the four products in the Clear Proof Acne System have their intended purposes for fighting acne. The Clarifying Cleansing Gel gives skin a deep clean, removing dirt, excess oil and impurities. The Blemish Control Toner removes dead skin cells to help keep pores from clogging and prevent new pimples from forming. The Acne Treatment Gel penetrates and clears pores to target bacteria and visibly reduce pimple redness. The Oil Free Moisturizer is lightweight, non-clogging formula that helps provide your skin the balanced hydration it needs.
Like most other acne systems, the Mary Kay Clear Proof Acne System requires daily use and does take some time to see results. Each bottle has simple directions for usage. It doesn't require a lot to apply each day, only drops or dabs. I still have plenty in my bottles to last a while. With the exception of the Oil-Free Moisturizer for Acne-Prone Skin, all the products should be applied to affected areas one to three times daily.
Like I mentioned before, my acne breakouts aren't severe. But they are noticeable and irritating. Since using the Mary Kay Clear Proof Acne System, I've noticed even less breakouts and my facial skin seems to feel softer and healthier. I've also noticed that my pores are smaller. I believe that using the acne system has created positive results for my skin.
Win It!
One person will win a Mary Kay Clear Proof Acne System (ARV $45).
