A Very Memorable Mother's Day

My husband and kids have always been good about treating me well on Mother's Day.  They're mindful to get me gifts and show appreciation.  This year, though, was one of my favorite yet.  I think it's because my kids, even though they're teens and above, really put a lot of heart and thought into the gifts.
Adam baked me a cake and decorated it with "Happy Mother's Day - Love You" and Logan baked me soft sugar cookies.

Adam also decorated a plate with the quote "Not always eye to eye, but always heart to heart".  He and I get a long pretty well so it's rare that we don't see eye to eye.  But even when we have our spats, I know we have a strong bond.

Shelby created a Shutterfly photo book full of pictures and beautiful words.

The three kids also gave me a $25 Ruby Tuesday gift card, and my husband purchased an 'Experiencing God' workbook for me.

My husband was also kind enough to grill a ton of food for an outside gathering.  We feasted on chicken breast, brats, pork chops, potato salad, coleslaw, grilled asparagus, green beans, lemon bars, and salad.

There's nothing better than spending time with the ones you love.

This picture melts my heart.  Shelby is giving her little brother a hug.

Shelby and my gal pal, Becky, tease that Becky's her "real mom".  So I took the obligatory mother/daughter photo.  If only the "real mom" would do Shelby's laundry!

Adam, Shelby, Logan and me
I am absolutely truly blessed to be a mother to such amazing kids.
How did you celebrate Mother's Day?
