With a little practice, and Grandpa’s watch, Harry puts his parents in a trance and envisions a future full of fun and yes’s!
Comic books by the crate, night-vision goggles for his teddy bear, a pet monkey (or two)—no request is too big or too bizarre. Harry loves his new freedom and, not to mention, all that bacon. So what if his robot goes rogue and playmates are hard to find? But when his ninja moves result in a playground pile-up, Harry starts to wonder if he really wants his every wish granted.
Hypnosis Harry is a wildly funny, sweetly silly look at the real meaning of the word no. Children will delight as little Harry answers the delicious question: What would you do if you could do anything? This charming romp is perfectly captured in the lively, layered illustrations of Sarita Rich. Each read reveals clever new details, making this the perfect reread for parent and child.
My Review:
A hardcover book with amusing illustrations, Hypnosis Harry tells of a little boy who feels he is always being told no by his parents. One evening he sees a television show that tells how to hypnotize people. Harry gets his grandfather's pocket watch and hypnotizes his parents, but not before first practicing on his pets and a neighbor kid. After successfully hypnotizing the parents, Harry is able to have his requests fulfilled. He overstocks a playroom with toys, he eats a mishmash of food, and he even gets a robot.
Within time, Harry learns that even the best intentions can create some chaos. The robot runs amok and he gets sick from the combination of weird food. Harry returns his parents back to normal and they explain that the reason they tell him no is because they love him and want him to be safe.
Hypnosis Harry is one of the most charming children's books I've read lately. The way the story is told and with the charismatic illustrations, youngsters will want to absorb themselves in this book. Children oftentimes feel as if they're always being told no, and this book cleverly shows what can happen if they were to actually always get their way.

I think Hypnosis can work for some people, but I do not believe all people are susceptible!

I do believe that hypnosis can certainly be helpful and effective for some people but maybe not everyone.

I'm not sure. I gave it a shot once in a big entertainment event thing but it didn't work for me!
I suppose it could work but I think it depends on the person.

I have my doubts about hypnosis, but I don't know for sure because I've never experienced it myself.

Yes, I think it can work.
I've never tried it, but I believe it could work with some folks.
It is possible that it works for some people. However, I do not think it works for everybody. I have seen a live show that featured hypnosis and I think it was not real. I knew several of the people that were "hypnosised" and I believe that they were pretending to be hypnosised.
I do believe it works.
No, I don't.
I do believe that it works, but I don't think I would ever want to try it.
I don't believe in it. I don't like the though of someone being able to manipulate my mind. I think the book is cute and will engage your imagination.
I do believe hypnosis can work on some
