My Review:
My husband and I are very upfront and relational when we speak about God. We often discuss the Bible and scripture within to our teen kids. I feel like openly conversing about it allows us quality time with our teens, and gives us the opportunity to explain how we want them to lead their lives.
The ESV Family Devotional Bible is, well, a Bible. You'll find the same verses and passages in it as you would other common Bibles. What sets this one apart from others is that there are several devotional pages with illustrations. These pages tell a total of 130 stories in understandable format. Right after each story is a section of 'Questions for the Family'. The questions are designed to get readers thinking about what they just read, and how they can apply that story to their walk with Christ. There's also a Key Verse.
I've been getting together with my family to go over the devotionals. I read the story aloud, then ask the questions. Each person has an opportunity to give their answers. We then dissect the Key Verse and go over it in depth.
At the end of each devotional is a guide that directs you to what page the next devotional is on. This Bible has a hardbound cover and includes a brown ribbon bookmark.
One person will win an ESV Family Devotional Bible.
