Trail mix is an ideal snack food. With endless combinations of different food ingredients, there's several ways for trail mix to be made.
Here's a trail mix recipe using Chex, one ingredient that seems to be popular as an addition to making a mix.
Gluten-Free Honey Nut Chex™ Trail Mix
Ingredients:
4cups Honey Nut Chex™ cereal
1 1/2cups lightly salted whole cashews
1/2cup dried cranberries
1/4cup chopped crystallized ginger
Steps:
1 Stir ingredients together in large bowl.
2 Store in airtight container.
Tips:
Variation - Add up to 1/4 cup of your favorite stir-ins: gluten-free honey-roasted peanuts, gluten-free pretzels, pumpkin seeds.
Storage - Mix stays fresh up to 2 weeks stored in airtight container.
