Stacy Uncorked is back this week with
Random Tuesday Thoughts. Link up at her blog if you'd like to play along.

I finally got a decent pic of my son and his girlfriend dressed up for Homecoming. They're such a cute couple. I asked Logan the other day if they've had their first fight yet. His reply: "Well, no. Fighting is stupid and there's no reason to ever do it." That's my boy!
------------------
Speaking of Logan, he got me an interesting combo for a Valentine's Day gift - a single rose and a 4-pack of Monster Energy Drink. Hey, can't complain; I need all the energy I can get.
Jason got me a vase of Amaryllis flowers. He says they're supposed to be easy to take care of, and shouldn't die anytime soon. He must not know me; I can kill a weed in no time flat!
-----------------------
Later today I will be attending a funeral for my cousin's six year old son who passed away from an asthma attack a few days ago. I can't even begin to fathom the pain my cousin is going through.

Four of our six kids took me and Jason out last Wednesday night to a Chinese buffet in celebration of Jason's 40th birthday. Jason's mom and brother also showed up. He's now as old as I am.
I purchased an orange hunting vest as a present for Jason. He just got into the sport late last year. So far, he's killed one squirrel.

wontons
Jason and I had a one-on-one supper date at Hyvee Market Cafe. It's a cafe inside a grocery store. I don't necessarily care for the concept but I do like their food. The maple, bacon, and jalapeno wontons are to die for.
-----------------------------------
It's stepping outside of my comfort zone, but I've agreed to take a volunteer position with Jason at the hospital on Fridays. We will be going there to meet with the patients affiliated with our church congregation and praying over them. He and I went for our first time last week. I actually enjoyed doing it, from talking with the 90 year old lady who swore she knew me to praying with a husband who wasn't sure if his wife was going to make it through her bypass surgery.
--------------------------------------
With all that, I'll leave you with one last picture of my pretty kitty, Misty.
