Book Overview:
*Ages 0-4
*Encourage your children’s sense of wonder and faith with I Can Only Imagine for Little Ones, inspired by the hit song by MercyMe. This delightful board book will capture your family’s childlike faith and imagination
My Review:
Bart Millard is a founding member and lead singer of the multi-platinum selling contemporary Christian band MercyMe. If you're not familiar with him that way, you may recall the recent film based upon the story behind his song, I Can Only Imagine. (Great movie, by the way!)
I've sometimes imagined what it would be like when I get to Heaven. I don't fangirl on anyone but I totally want a selfie with Jesus. I'm sure I'll be speechless or stuttering, in awe of His glory.
Anyway, back to the book....
I Can Only Imagine for Little Ones is a board book for young children. The writing style is in rhythmic form, and the illustrations are adorable. If you're familiar with the song you might find yourself singing the words of the book to the same tempo of the song, like I did. Some questions and curiosities in the book include:
When I get to Heaven, can I sit on God's Knee?
Do the houses in heaven have big rooms and spaces?
I bet heaven serves ice scream before lunch each day.
In the end, we are reminded that we don't have to wait to spend time with God. He's here in our heart and never leaves.
One person will win an I Can Only Imagine for Little Ones children's board book.
