Maybe This Cat Will Last Longer Than Green Bean

Well, I wasn't necessarily looking for another cat.  If I was going to add another to the household, I wanted it to be similar to Green Bean.  Didn't happen that way, but it's okay.

My oldest step-daughter had ownership of a 1 year old female calico cat, Louis, but couldn't let it roam but just a couple of rooms because she also has a dog that was determined to make Louis its lunch. (Know that scenario all too well!)

Allyson reached out to me to see if I wanted to take over ownership of Louis.  It was either that or the Humane Society, according to her.  I fell for it Hook, Line, and Sinker.  Louis has been with us for a couple weeks now and seems to be adjusting nicely.

The first week was a tad apprehensive.  The other two cats weren't big fans.  But now all three deal with each other just fine.

Louis isn't anything like Green Bean.  She cuddles and snuggles on her own terms, and she's just a step above the laziness level of the other two cats.  She's taken a liking to Jason and wants his attention more than anything.  It's quite all right; I love her just the same.  Louis (aka LouLou, aka WowWow) is a welcome addition to our home.

As far as our dog, my son came from Tennessee about three weeks ago and took Helen home with him.  It took her a couple of days to get used to the new environment but I'm darn near positive she wouldn't come back here if  given the chance.  Adam's got that dog so darned spoiled.  He takes her on car rides almost nightly, plays fetch indoors, lets her sleep next to him, and buys her cheeseburgers on occasion.  She's definitely living the life.

I'm glad your son and dog are a match made in Heaven. :) The new cat is pretty! My cat used to love ONLY my son, but as the time has passed she now comes and sits next to me too. Yesterday she let me put her on my lap for a full minute. That NEVER happens. We're making progress. ;)

She's a beauty! And as someone who swore up and down she would NEVER have a terrier, but is currently sharing her life with one, I can tell you that sometime we don't get the pets we think we want, but we do get exactly the ones we need (and who need us).

The new kitty is too adorable. I'm glad to hear that she's adjusting well and you all have taken a shining to her.
