Fall Fun at Mill Creek Farm

All my kids are older, and I admit I miss the days of taking them to pumpkin patches, trick-or-treating, Easter egg hunts, and all that fun stuff.  So, I take up the opportunities to hang out with the young'uns in my family and spend quality time.

Yesterday my niece invited me along with her clan to Mill Creek Farm, located on the outskirts of town.  It was crappy cold but we had a good time making memories.

There were several set-ups for photo ops.  I wasn't lookin' so fly, so I didn't take any pictures of myself.  But I got plenty of the family.

We went through the pumpkin patch and I let the kiddos pick out a pumpkin for themselves.  Seems like it's getting a little late in the season since a lot of the pumpkins were already starting to rot.

We all explored a corn maze and hunted for pumpkin buckets filled with slips of paper.  Since everyone found all six slips, the kids were able to pick out a treat at the end.  And last, but not least, we went on a short hayrack ride around the area.

That does look like fun. I didn't go to the pumpkin patch this year. Ours is full of people. It is fun though.

What a fun little farm! My aunt has a pumpkin farm so we get ours from her each year, but I do miss my girls being little and taking them to local pumpkin patches to play with animals and do corn mazes.
