Man, I Feel Like A (New) Woman
Referencing the Shania Twain song, I'm hoping to "Feel Like A Woman" soon. My body's been put through the ringer and I'm ready to feel better. Any day now.....
As many of you know, I had two surgeries in December. One was scheduled, the other emergency. The doctor thought that would fix a lot of my issues. And it did.....for a month. I started bleeding again like a stuck pig in a slaughterhouse and haven't been feeling right. So, the doctor ordered a DiVinci Surgery to remove my uterus and cervix. In other words, a hysterectomy with the aid of robotic arms.
The surgery took place yesterday. My stomach has five small incisions. Looks like I've got the map to Route 66 going on my abdomen. Dr. found out I suffer from Endometriosis and that's likely the cause of what's been my problem. She removed that as well as my other lady bits. I still have my ovaries, in the hopes I don't go into early menopause.
To top it off, the doctor found a spot in my nether regions that caused her concern. She cut it off and sent it off to labs. If the spot comes back cancerous (or even pre-cancerous) , I will be having another surgery to remove all other spots in that area. In addition to the marks on my stomach, I now have stitches between my vajayjay and butthole. I can't make this stuff up!
At this point, I'm not sure how much more can be removed. Throughout the years, I've become a game of Operation. Just lay me out and take it out!
Have you ever had a hysterectomy? Have any suggestions for quick recovery? I've already got the pain pills, belly band, and Gas-X on hand. And a husband that must really love me!

I'm Hooked! - Buying Bracelets and Helping Animals
If you're on social media, it's no doubt you've seen ads; They're everywhere! I rarely fall for the ones on Facebook, considering that some of them don't quite stand up to what they're trying to sell. But, I have to admit, I recently came across a FB ad that lured me in. And now I'm hooked!
Fellow people, let me tell you about Wildlife Collections! The company sells bracelets that allows you to track the very animals they are saving to get people excited about wildlife. Wildlife Collections partners with non-profit organizations creating wildlife-inspired items that contribute to saving wildlife.
The company has official partnerships with the Sea Turtle Conservancy, Orca Research Trust, Save the Elephants, and Polar Bears International.. When you purchase from Wildlife Collections, part of the monies goes to those organizations.
My first order, which I've received, was for the purchase of the The Venture Bracelet (polar bears) and The Journey Bracelet (sea turtles). The bracelets themselves are quite pretty and I've been wearing them everyday. What makes it even more exciting is that I received cards showing pictures and information of the bear and turtle I can track. When I want to see what they're up to, I just have to scan the QR code given to me on the card and a website will pop up showing where the animals have been and where they are headed. It's quite interesting to see them on their journeys.
You don't have to pay any extra fees to track the animals. Once you purchase a bracelet, you will automatically get a card with your animal's info and QR code. The bracelets are so affordable and I love that it helps bring awareness to wildlife. There are different color options available for each bracelet. I'm eagerly awaiting the arrival of my second purchase, another sea turtle bracelet and a Save the Elephants bracelet. This time, the FB ad brought me to a place that I'm quite keen on.
Although I did make an initial purchase and another thereafter, Wildlife Collections has been kind enough to create an exclusive code for my readers who are interested in purchasing bracelets (or other jewelry) for themselves. Use code HECKOFABUNCH at checkout to receive 20% off your order. I think you'll be as excited about the company as I am!
